FAQ
Find answers about DINQ, search, candidate data, DINQ Page, and contacting candidates.
What is DINQ?
DINQ is an AI talent discovery platform.
You can describe the AI talent you want to find. DINQ searches across multiple data sources, talent databases, and the public web, then organizes candidate profiles you can review and contact. AI talent and organizations can also create DINQ Pages to showcase projects, research, work, and public links.
How is DINQ different from LinkedIn?
LinkedIn is mainly a professional network and profile platform. It shows information people enter about their work history.
DINQ focuses more on public evidence beyond the resume, such as GitHub, papers, projects, personal sites, and technical community activity. It helps you understand whether someone has actually done the kind of work they claim.
Why not just use LinkedIn plus GitHub?
You can, but you have to switch platforms, match identities, organize context, and judge relevance manually.
DINQ puts those scattered clues into one recruiting workflow so you can move faster from search to evaluation to outreach.
Are search results always accurate?
No. DINQ does its best to find relevant people from public signals, but you still need to review the results.
Think of DINQ as a helper for expanding search and organizing evidence, not as the final hiring decision.
Is my DINQ Page public?
Yes. DINQ Page is a public professional profile and may be accessed, indexed, cached, or archived by users, visitors, search engines, and third parties. Review content before publishing it publicly.
Does DINQ use my data to train AI models?
Under the current Privacy Policy, DINQ does not use your data to train, test, or improve the underlying AI models it may use. AI features process your data to generate service outputs such as profiles, summaries, suggestions, search prompts, or candidate context.
Can I delete or correct personal data?
Yes. You can edit profile information in account settings and request access, export, deletion, or restrictions on the use of some personal data. After account closure, personal data generally stops being visible to others within 24 hours, and closed account information is generally deleted within 30 days. Some information may be retained for legal, security, anti-fraud, dispute resolution, or de-identified purposes.
What rules apply to DINQ Page and messaging?
Use real identity and truthful experience, keep communication professional, and do not harass, spam, send phishing links, or upload infringing/unprofessional content. Get permission before uploading media that includes other people. AI-generated or deepfake media should be disclosed and must not impersonate real individuals.
What if I do not know how to write a search prompt?
Start with a simple description. DINQ will help you improve it step by step.
It asks one question at a time and offers several options. You can choose one or type your own answer. At the end, DINQ turns your answers into a complete search prompt and asks you to confirm it before searching.
Can I upload a JD?
Yes. DINQ supports JDs in text, PDF, and image formats.
You can paste the job description, upload a PDF, or upload a screenshot/image JD. DINQ reads the content, extracts role direction, key skills, experience requirements, and location preferences, then generates a search prompt for you to confirm.
Why does search take some time?
DINQ is not doing a simple keyword search. It searches across multiple public sources, connects public clues about candidates, and organizes them into profiles you can review.
During the search, DINQ shows the search plan and process so you can see how it is searching and why.
Where does candidate data come from?
DINQ uses public web information and structured talent data, including professional profiles, GitHub, papers, projects, personal sites, and other public sources.
Can DINQ judge real capability?
DINQ helps surface clues that are closer to real capability, such as code contributions, paper quality, shipped work, and collaboration networks.
Final judgment should still include interviews, work review, and team-specific needs.
Can I contact candidates directly?
Yes. DINQ can help find candidate contact information and create cold outreach copy based on the candidate's public profiles, projects, papers, or technical contributions.
We recommend reviewing and editing the message before sending, and referencing specific work instead of using generic templates.
What roles is DINQ best for?
DINQ is especially useful for roles where resumes are weak signals, including:
- AI / ML.
- Infrastructure.
- Quant.
- Security.
- Robotics.
- Biotech.
- Research.
- Healthcare technology.
What if I cannot find good candidates?
Try:
- Rewriting the search.
- Expanding location or experience constraints.
- Adding specific skills or project keywords.
- Clarifying whether you care more about open source, papers, startup experience, or big tech experience.
- Asking DINQ to keep searching for more candidates.
